Vendor Management: Identify, source, evaluate, and negotiate with equipment vendors, direct/indirect material vendors, and component part vendors to obtain the best terms in pricing, quality, and delivery.
Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement innovative and cost-effective procurement strategies.
Contract Management: Draft, review, and execute contracts with suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks associated with the procurement process, including supply chain disruptions and supplier reliability.
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
Reporting: Prepare and present reports on procurement performance, budget utilization, and savings achieved to senior management.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to optimize procurement processes and cost reduction.
Experience: Minimum 10 years in the tyre industry, including 5 years in the purchasing function. Experience in new plant or new model preparation. Experience in equipment procurement, direct/indirect material procurement, and component part procurement.
Skills: Good English communication skills, both written and spoken. Experience in supplier audit and evaluation. Proven experience as a Procurement/Purchasing Manager or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of procurement processes and best practices. Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of contract law and legal requirements related to procurement. Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office Suite.
